Meet Becky + Tyler Lauridsen
About Us...
We’re Becky and Tyler Lauridsen, founders of ROAM and most importantly, a rodeo family.
We were both born and raised in the western way of life and have spent our years in the rodeo arena. We competed through college at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where we learned the value of grit, pressure, and performance—but also, where we both started noticing what no one else was talking about: the mental toll of it all.
As much as I loved the sport, I (Becky) always felt like something was missing. I could make flawless runs in the practice pen, but come rodeo time, I’d fall apart under the pressure. I wasn’t lacking skill, I was lacking regulation. I needed a way to calm my nervous system and perform at my best. I often wish something like ROAM had existed back then so I could have fully taken advantage of my physical ability, without my mind getting in the way of the moments I had worked so hard for.
From Brain Science to Horse Management...
Tyler holds a degree in Horse Training and Management and has spent his life studying equine behavior, development, and performance. From competing in rodeo to training horses from the ground up, he understands firsthand the physical and mental demands placed on performance horses.
He has always believed that great horses are not just built through discipline and repetition, but through trust, feel, and understanding. That belief is what makes ROAM different. Tyler sees how tension, trauma, and overstimulation show up in a horse long before they explode in the box or shut down at the gate.
With ROAM, he now has a tool that supports what he has always known — that many behavioral issues are not training problems, but nervous system problems.
Tyler’s steady presence and deep horsemanship ensure that every horse we work with is handled with patience, respect, and real-world rodeo experience.
Client Review...
I started neurofeedback to help enhance my overall rodeo performance, what I didn't realize is how much it would help me inside the arena AND outside of the arena. I never knew how much the seemingly insignificant things like brain fog and fatigue were keeping me from my best performance. Now that I'm less fatigued and more focused, I can better prepare for the rodeo arena.
