In May of 2025, I got in an accident running out of the arena at a barrel race and was thrown head first into a pipe fence. I knew I had a concussion but did not think there was much that could be done so I just went home and rested and followed standard protocol for taking care of myself. I wasn’t prepared for the mental issues that came after my accident. I started feeling very depressed, constantly irritated and struggling with negative thoughts. I was having a hard time getting out of bed and wanted to just lay down throughout the day which is not normal at all for me. I knew I needed help so I reached out to Becky about getting in to see her. She told me that LENS therapy was something we needed to try. I went in for my first session and had good results right away. It was so helpful to see my brain scans and how my brain was not working properly. I had areas that were almost completely closed off and I had areas that were overreactive. After worrying for weeks that something was really wrong with me, it felt so good to have a plan and know that we could work on healing my brain with this kind of therapy. I’m now many months in and feeling so much better. I feel the old me coming back and I am so grateful that I was able to get the help my brain needed.

When Becky told me that she had been using LENS on her horses I was immediately intrigued. I had a young gelding that had ran through the fence because of a firework incident and just hadn’t been the same since. His personality had changed and I was frustrated with our regression in training. We have now done 3 sessions on him and he has started progressing in training again and has been acting calmer and much easier to work with. It has been great to see an improvement in his behavior and demeanor with the help of L.E.N.S therapy. I would highly recommend working with Roam Nuero if you have horses with behavior issues.
